One of those days...

Well, today has been....slow. I have 2 test tomorrow and neither of which have a study guide.  Therefore I have no motivation to study... Scratch that-I really just don't know how or where to begin studying.

So---> Instead of studying I have decided that I will take a mental breaks. After all, I've been up since 8 and had classes solid until 1, and even though I had almost 9 hours of sleep last night, I still feel like all I want to do is sleep...I miss my old happy go lucky-nice weather-zest for life summer time... I deserve no need a small break!

Presently I am writing in one of my best friend Maury's room.  Discussion topic for today...Valentine's Day. We are trying to figure out what to do for our significant others...  funnily enough we are both doing similar things :P 

This year I have decided that I want to give instead of get.  I think that I have literally had a boyfriend for Valentine's Day every year since my Freshman year of high school, and while it is definitely nice to get...I've been wanting to give back for a couple months.  With everything that has been going on, we have both been overly stress and let's face it...I have honestly been a little bit of a pain in the ass...

So Maury and I both decided that we will make homemade cards...they are always fun right? :)  We are going to get to bust out my arts and craft drawer and be uber nerds with my glues and colored paper and other crap.  

Other fun things are flowers...now idk if I should do flowers or not because well obviously Lijah is a boy...but I think a single rose with a corny tag that says "you're my pick of the dozen", or some other disgusting phase may not be all bad :P...As far as Maury goes-I'm on 'operation find out Allison's favorite flower in a non-suspicious way' lol. 

Next, there is the dinner. Since Lijah has bought me...well... a lot of dinners, I am going to buy his this time (Just like I did on our first date/his birthday).  I thought about taking him back to Texas Roadhouse (where we had our 1st date), but I decided on 'Famous Dave's' instead.  He has told me countless times that it is one of his favorites and I've wanted to go forever! Instead of continuing to wait for him to take me, I will be assertive and take him lol :)    --->Maury is still open for suggestions lol

Now, to get even more cheesy (because even though I protest, I absolutely love the little corny touches guys have when they're being romantic.) I thought about instead of telling him where we are going...since he will more than likely be driving...I would write directions or have him follow a map and just to be silly make him do a Chinese fire drill or other stupid thing when we get stuck at a red light.

Finally, and this may be going over the line...I haven't decided yet, I hope to make him mix tape of some of the songs we sing together on our way to his parents' or even just around Cedar Falls....and a few lovey dovey yucky ones to fill up the rest of the cd space...We'll see if I have time this week...

The only other thing that I thought he might love would be a back massage...totally thinking about giving him a good back massage because lord know that with all of the stress lately, there are quite a few knots to work out....I think I still need to talk to him about times and dates that work for him, and if he down for a night out, but I am hopeful that he'll be excited to be taken out for a change...do be honest I think I'll even be happy if he wants to go out in our sweats and watch a war/action movie...maybe I'll let him pick out a red box movie as the final, final touch...

Just want to show him that I love him-->that is after all the point of V-day right? To show those we love how much we care...

Anyways, Maury and I will undoubtedly continue our planning as he enjoys the pizza he just brought back from Biscotti's, and I start the dreaded studying :P
